Default Need tires, need recommendations.....

Anyone recommend a certain tire? My drivers rear one has a nail in it, and the tread is dead enough im just going to replace it. I've considered replacing everything, but its alot of money so I need to consider all my options. Lets hear your opinions on tires makes as really in the DSM world no one considers traction as an issue, so tire choices dont get brought up much. I need to hear opinions from you 2wd guys

Joey suggested Nitto 555's to me. From the reviews I have read they are really good, very sticky and last a long time. The only draw back I have found is every one says they suck in the rain, but since your AWD that probably matters a lot less.

Falken Ziex ZE-512 are dirt cheap and AWESOME in the rain. probably not what you're looking for in terms of dry traction though. anyway, that's my humble 2 cents.

I was wondering the same thing as far as daily driven. Falken Azenis are heavy tires but they grip good. I was wondering what the best street tire is also. I didnt know the nitto 555's lasted long. Arent those the drag radials?

Yokohama avs es 100s are awesome affordable tires. Great dry traction and pretty good wet traction. Plus they dont wear as fast as azenis.

Only draw back is the tread blocks are prone to melting when cornering hard for extended periods of time.

If money isnt an object Id suggest potenza pole position s0-3's.

Yea I've looked all around. I think Azenis wont be enough of rain traction for me, 555R is the drag radial version. Keep the ideas coming.

I liked my Ziex a lot, I'd consider getting another set if I had the money to replace the old ones.

So 555R's are good for everyday use?

Awsome-potenza re070 (dry, expensive)

Awsome-potenza PP s0-2 (dry, expensive)

Awsome-yokohama advan a-046 (dry, expensive)

Awsome-Falken Azenis (dry,medium)

Better than Ok -AVS es100 (dry, average)

Ok-Kumho ecsta mx (dry,average)

Barely Ok-Kumho ecsta supra 712 (dry/wet, average)

I have atleast once, driven on every single one of these tires and have taken them to a fair limit. Not all of them were on awd, not all of them had the same suspension, so i cant say for sure which would be better for a gsx. but...

I'm going to get falken azenis if that means anything. ^_^
