i have a question...im hunting around for a network admin/computer tech admin job and have found several spots...but they all require 2-5 years of expirence...

as a newcomer to the IT field, where is a good place to look? i understand the big money wont be rolling in, but its a good foundation.

If you want to do it on the side you could try this....

Take one Microsoft exam and get a MCP.
Go get a business license for a few bucks (cheap)
Print nice business cards that say Microsoft Certified
Put ads out in local papers and make some flyers... staple your card to them and put them in a few doors.

It only takes a few jobs before word of mouth gets you some business.

That's what I would do if I had to start up these days. Luckily that was like 10 years ago.

i have one buddy that manages a construction company, i have another that does drafting, and another one thats a computer repair guy. i was thinking about teaming up for a business venture, but can't find the practicality in todays economy
