Unless you are worried about the car breaking, you can drive it. Most people do, although some do trailer thiers. You helment is good, Worst case on your tires is that you may wear the outside edge more than normal street driving if you don't have enough air pres (start with about 40psi and air down as needed) You can choose your own number if it isn't already taken in the registration page, most people use painters tape on the door or quarter panel for the number, some have magnets.

i signed up on the autorcross site as a forum memeber. i need to make sure i can find a baby sitter before i register. i would assume that i could borrow a compressor from someone there? that was another reason i was goin to trailer, its self contained. i had an air tank but it walked away.

This would be my first time doing something such as autox. I think it would be a great opportunity to learn the limits of my car. Heres the catch, the thing that kind of holds me back is my lack of knowledge for holding lines, approach on turns and just getting lost on the track with all those damn cones! I wouldn't mind if all my runs are fun runs due to having a passenger, any of you vets up to help a newb? Im 24 and drive a slightly modded s2k.
