helicoil?
So i recently had my right motor mount pull out of my block in my eg hatch while driving aparently the owner before me helicoiled it on two of the bolt holes in the block and those came out still attached to the bolts soooo the holes in the block are now stripped. any ideas?
had a hatch with a ls motor and had the same problem, side motor mount, bolts ripped right outta the block when i let the clam drive my car one night and she hit a crazy dip in the road, had to get a new motor
get the rest of the helicoil out and get yourself a tap and die and rethread the stripped hole and try a new helicoil with red threadlocker and give it a few hours before driving it and if you replace the bolts use grade 8 only... if you do it right it should be able to hold up even if you dog the hell out of her

Why would you need a die? You're not cutting male threads...
A tap cuts threads into a female hole, a die cuts threads onto a male shaft. Now you won't be embarrassed next time.

i wanna cut your male shaft.
had a issue with 2 bolts on my tranny. bought gardserts.. things work great and are cheaper then timeserts and dont require special tool kit that you need. they are also guaranteed to work (unless you foul up in the installation process of course)
