So I was in Lynchburg last night...
BUT, i dont drive a jacked up pickup, im physically fit, i have all my teeth, i have white teeth, and no baby mammas (that i know of). so yeah...i dont fit in this town for the age i am.
Well you may be overqualified, but I'm possibly going to need a minion to do pc work, basic Server 2003/2008, exchange 2003/2007, xp pro stuff... cisco knowledge, if you can program the newer line of ASA's & firewalls, is a big plus to me. It'd be in Roanoke, but I'm guessing only pay $12 an hour or so... a glorified help desk position with a little more freedom depending upon the level of trust you gain & your skillset. I don't have a definite "find someone" yet, but if you're interested I'll keep you in mind.
lol no, i have neg rep because i said i liked t pain's music lol
trust me, my personal/business side is COMPLETELY different than my online side. i'm 24, serious about starting a CAREER, not a job. I'm ready to get my life on track in all aspects. Serious about a job, serious about a home and starting a family, etc etc. My "party/dont give a shit" days are long gone for me.
i really just need a starting point career wise. I was at the local Goodyear plant and got laid off, so I began my studies to get into the computer field. I have expirence in years past, but just personal, nothing i can put on paper as a previous job reference.
my expertise (sp?) isnt really into programming just yet. I'm mainly in pc repair/maintenance and networking thus far. my MCSE is a future goal in life, i just need to crawl before i walk, ya know?

oh sorry, I saw network+ and confused it with CCNA... network+ is comptia right? Programming that shit is something I need 4 times a year maybe, and that's what consultants are for.
A+/network+ would be just about what I needed. Llike I said, it's entry-level and only around $12 an hour, that's where I started here, but it's really good experience both at the technical level and business-world aspect. I'm 25, and I would probably be calling you a bitch if you didn't party/drink enough. Not sure where you were at financially or where you need to be, but if you're interested, I'll keep you in mind.
Goodyear blvd... l've long wanted to be in something with some power on that long straight stretch...

oh, i still go out and drink and party, but NOTHING like when i was younger...you know, the "wow im 21 and i have money LETSGETFUCKEDUPEVERYDAY!!!!!" stage. i still get down, trust that.
i'd me more than interested in that position. the pay is do-able, certainly not much of a loss than my current state. the only concern is cost of living up there. would i really be able to have a DECENT, SAFE apartment/townhouse and still afford to have somewhat of a life? i just know a studio apt in DC can be $1000/month. lmk if you would like a resume.
goodyear blvd aka danville's dragstrip. lol when i got off of work on 2nd shift, people that rode their bikes to work would ALWAYS hammer down when they left. good shit.
Yeah, I've had to travel over by the goodyear plant several times... that strip is awesome. You can find something around $500 a month, but I would recommend getting a roommate and splitting something nicer--I may even be a candidate for that, my current crib plans have fell through.
Not to be rude, but if you're holding no current degrees or certifications, something like this would pretty much be what you'd be limited to until you get some good experience under your belt. Great place to start though. When I get the go ahead, I'll send you a pm for the resume.
P.S... does anyone know wtf was in that crate?

i understand my current lack of degree will limit me at the moment, but I WILL be getting certified with CompTIA. i'm finishing my self studying and then scheduling a test date. im at the end of my lease with my townhouse so i'm juggling a lot of things, plus the ever famous "my clam's giving me static" situation...but i WILL be getting it, definately before the year is up.
