Question Charge a/c system in 2006 Nissan 350z with 134a, where to connect?

Where is the valve on the low pressure line for the a/c system on a 2006 Nissan 350z? Have a can of 134a refrigerant and hose with gauge. Can't seem to find the correct place to charge the lines with the refrigerant. There was a valve on the driver's side, top of the engine, under a black screw cap but apparently that wasn't the place.

Saw the shop manual for servicing with an evacuation/recycling setup, looks like it may be different.

Trying to help out a friend with his car.

Pop all the plastic covers off untill you find them. All jokes aside

uh, if you have the hose its only going to fit 1 of the fittings...why dont you find the compressor...and follow the lines...its really not that hard.

Why do you not just get a recharge kit and attach it to the port under the drivers side corner engine cover. I think the pressure should be in the 35 to 40 pound range.

So if you listened to Jarrod you would've found it under the plastic panel on the drivers side. I know it says in your post it doesnt fit, but i dont believe theres that many different fittings..You're better of searching a z forum.

Saw that thread, too but it didn't seem to help so I posted here. Shop manual had it on the passenger side, not under a cover. The fitting on the driver's side didn't fit. Three techs at Napa couldn't find it either. Nissan dealership wants $$$ to even fuckin' point to it, so they were less than helpful.

Will start peeking under more of those plastic engine covers tomorrow.

Got the picture needed, it was hidden right beside the fitting I thought it was. There are a LOT of plastic covers on that that vehicle! Shop manual listed passenger side fitting for evacuation procedure. Saw the fitting on the driver's side, which looked the same as all of the other vehicles that I've recharged before but fitting didn't fit. Interestingly enough, the one I needed was about 3" away.
