Not worth the hassle if you just wanna get it rolling again, find another d16y7 or d16y8 long block and put back in the car. If you wanna go bigger and better swap a GSR in it.

Don't waste your time. The D17 isn't as great of a motor as you think. I mean, if you can get it for cheap, then it's whatever. But at least make sure it's the D17A2, as that's the one out of an EX.
