Went to bapgeon today, they couldn't help me and reffered me to yet another import specialist. Screw this...I just wanna get my car workin.

High beams......wtf fogs don't work? Don't know if they're even connected..yet again, know nothing about wiring and electrics.

Paint stripped driver's side bumper, also license plate area paint is cracked from being rear ended.




Front bumper, can see where white chipped off and the red bumper below still sticks out, the hood is the same story.\\



Then there's this.....


Looks seriously like over spray alllll ovvveerrr the front of the car, elbow greased to the max to try and get it off, even using my nail...nothing comes off and its ALL over the place




The color on the steering wheel doesn't match the horn/airbag...guessing accident which would explain the front bumper and good. godamit...



Might be electrical though, I'd have to get some help, it'd be great if you could help me Elric, cuz today and the first day I drove it back, the aftermarket bass speakers randomly cut out for X amount of minutes, then cut back on. Music still played in that time though, just no bass. Seemed to happen when I pushed back on the seat a little to get more comfortable?



Well that's all that's wrong with the car I can think of right now.

 

Damn bro that sounds like a wiring nightmare LoL.

If one headlight goes up and the other doesn't, I'd check the wires for voltage to make sure it's not a bad ground on the motor. If the motor gets power and doesn't move, it needs a new motor. Check the fuse box, I doubt it but there just might be a fuse for FL (Front Left) headlight and FR (Front Right) Headlight.

It's a T-Top MR2, it leaks.

That power antenna is...interesting. Does the motor still work? If it does, a replacement is cheap.

Aftermarket speakers? If it's cutting on and off either the amp is overheating and the thermal control system is cutting it off or the alternator isn't putting out enough power and causing the amp to cut on and off. OR there might be a bad connection for the ground on the amp.

 

Both lights come up now, I was messing with it with the hood up and looks like whoever replaced the front bumper and the hood effed up the figment and the headlight had gotten stuck on it.. So I fixed it and it's chill now. Maybe my best bet would be to take it to a body shop, but I wish I could just do this with someone and save cash cuz I'm screwed in that area right now.


I think your right about the temp control cutting it out... It's possible but I'm gonna follow the lines just to make sure.

 

None of my t-tops ever leaked.

I can take a look at the headlight problem if you'd like, is this your only car? I work at Haley Toyota - if you could leave the car with me I can take a look at it pretty cheap. Also, if the antenna motor still works, you can replace the mast pretty easily (as Probe said.) PM me.

edit: NM about the headlights.

 

Went to advance auto parts and replaced the passenger headlight and tailights. headlights work...tailights still don't........shit. Checked all the fuses...they're good......shitX2, also I can't find in the manual or google for that matter how to actually open the engine compartment haha. I can open the trunk, and the hood, just haven't even seen the engine.

 

The release should be just behind your driver seat somewhere. At least that's where it was on my AW11.

haha nah he had it open, I just have horrible memory and couldn't remember you have to move the pioneer bass speaker behind the seat to actually see the lever. (it was a 5 hour drive..i was tired stfu lol)

But if your working at toyota today, mind if I bring it by? I'm gonna get some servicing shit done, and ask you about some stuff, like why the motor smells weird (hope its not burning oil or something), also I think it needs an alignment done. Pretty sure the tailight thing is a wiring problem so idk if im gonna worry about that right now, and lastly the fogs don't work but I checked the fuse box and the FR Fog fuse is missing? Tried using another box fuse as a test and they still didn't work but I'll let the techs look at that for me ; )

1. Tein Lowering Springs
2. Front Strut Bar (Tein too)
3. HKS Super flow Intake
4. annnnnd possibly tein pillowball tension rods

 

Just talked to toyota mechanic... looks like the aftermarket parts will be on hold for a bit!!

Toe bar is bent like a horse shoe?
Tailight wiring fixed
Wheel hub or pads or something needs to be replaced? I think he said hub cuz he quoted me for 800 bucks
Also the E brake is loose and floppin around screwin shit up (he quoted me for 480)

I've been trying to find aftermarket parts to fix the toe bar and e brake but I'm clueless! Someone help me out..
