I think the only differences are the cams and the ECU tune but I'm not 100% certain.

Only problem is, I'm searching on autotrader and everyone wants 15k for them.

my brother has a C32 AMG. Its a pretty nice car all around with lots of features. hard to find though. my suggestion would be a E36 M3.

Where are you finding a c32 AMG for 10k? even with 100k+ mi they are going for 14k+ Unless I missed something?

blah, I dont like them. The e46 would be great, but out of my price range.

I found a few under autotrader with over 100k miles for 10-11k. If you search without any distance theyll pop up.

For 10k though your best bet will be Mazdaspeed Protege or SRT-4. Most of the other cars listed you will be hard pressed to find a 2000+ for 10k or less.

True but I don't think it'd be practical to drive half way across country for a sight unseen look on a 100k mi+ Mercedes either. You probably wouldn't make it home.

Besies if you're looking for the best bang for the buck an older euro car is just going to be high maintenance cost. You may get less car with a SRT-4 or something of the likes, but you can probably get one newer, with less miles that will be more reliable and less expensive to mod/repair.
