i duno about that its all on the rider.. its with anybike..

i mean if what u said that than that means a old 89 cbr600 is better street bike than a 04 gsxr600 right?... not true at all.. grom u know what im talking about

point being anybike is only as fast as the rider...

I am looking at the torque curves and hp power delivery curves. The gixxer allows you to ride it really low in the revs and still make respectable power, but like the r6 the zx6r really demands to be ridden in an almost unresonably high rev range for the street. I would honestly say a gixxer or a cbr600rr for the first bike if you are going that route.

i duno man.. iv ridden so many different bikes... u can put me on just about any bike an im sure ill have no problem pullin ur normal rider in the corners...

lets take the 675, everyone thinks this bike is slow.. jb just bought a 05 r6(he can ride his ass off)..but he cant exit near the speed i can... and i just beat a 03 r1 from a 3rd gear pull and a 4th gear pull.. so like i said its all on the rider

high rpm really dont mean anything.. thats just where any newer bike makes its power..

if i hit corner in 2nd on the 675 ill spin half way threw, r6 not a problem..

number dont mean anything... its RIDER RIDER RIDER haha

ill agree with you heavily here.

the yam does not like being low in rpms, while the 600rr i used to ride had no issues with it being down low in the revs.

and the 600rr was deff not a bad bike at all, no complaints whatsoever from me on that bike.

do u really look at what rpms ur in when ur hitting corners?.. around town my r6 doesnt have a problem with low rpms and thats with a full exhaust and no tune

ur right about about the yam not hauling ass at low rpm, but the same is for every newer sport bike... the 600rr doesnt move untill higher in the rpm range same with the gsxr...

u guys are really looking into the rpm thing way tomuch...

edit: spockets work wonders for this problem

We are not talking about which bike is fastest or anything like, simply which is better for street or track. The low revs and easy power handling of the 600rr and the gixxer make an ideal street bike because you are not having to make it scream to enjoy the bike. This has nothing to do with speed or cornering ability.

ya i know what ur talking about..

iv riding all 4 bikes around town. and never seen or felt the bike having problems riding around town in low rpms

i guess if i just look at numbers online i might think like u guys but having been on the bikes them self i have a different look at things

and theres a 07 gsxr600 down stairs that is shit down low in rpms.. like wont even move..my friend has a 05 cbr600rr all stock same thing....

edit: i guess my point, no matter the make, u have to rev the piss out of these motors to make power.. low rpms are all about the same... comes down to gearing(which just makes u higher in the rpm range)
