I unpluged the hose leading from the mps and plug it but I consistantly get boost cut im only trying to run 10-11 punds of boost but even when i just get on the gas a little I get boost cut again. Any mr2 people here that can help me?

Re: mr2 boost cut problem.
You say you've already tapped/screwed the boost/fuel cut controller vac line?

Re: mr2 boost cut problem.
The boost cut is caused by an untuned vpc. If you put the afm back in you won't get boost cut. Get the vpc tuned and you won't have any more boost issues. If you go back to the afm you need to get a new elbow for the turbo inlet because it's cracked on the bottom and it creates a huge vaccuum leak causing it to run lean. You can avoid all that by getting the vpc tuned.

The vpc setup on the car right now is not tuned. It's also a 440 chip. If I were to continue nodding it I would have went with bigger injectors and ported ats fuel rail and got a hks gcc or a safc for fuel control. Get it all tuned and you can put down some pretty good numbers on the Dyno
