whats the norm for breaking in vipers??

 

Same as all cars... no WOT for first 500 miles and no hard breaking. Best to vary RPMs and increase them as you build miles, You can take it up to 5000 rpms etc. but no WOT and no redline. Cruising down the highway on cruise-control is a no no for break in. Following something like the above method will ensure best ring setting and break in. Some will romp on a car from day one, but I'd never do it as a motor is a whole bunch of individual parts learning to become one unit and work together.

 

several people have told me to break it in the way your going to drive it....but! dont do any hard launches till after the first oil change.
