Tires....try Tirebuyer.com this is a new place and their prices have been competitive. they also have a warehouse in Roanoke. Nankangs, I would only use on a DD for mileage purposes.
The Falken's are good tires for hot laps or time attack. Once you get a few laps on them they get greasy. Bridgestone RE01R's work great. continental ContiContact's for a harder compound with great grip. BFG KDW's for auto-x or smaller time attack courses. I don't like them once they get too hot either. Quick short sessions work best for most street tires. Very few are proven with multiple hot laps on them. They all get greasy with time. The Bridgestones seem the most consistent.
It's not that I don't like Lynchburg. I always find the farmers holding up traffic for miles at a time coming through 122. 57 feels like you are watching the deck fall from under your feet. It's agonizingly slow and it feels like you even live it in slow motion.

I'm fond of the Ziex series tires... I ran the ze 512's and the ze 912's on the s10... Too bad they ditched the 512's for the 912's... 512's were awesome...
