he said the pistons and rods were the weakest parts, so I would assume this means they're cast/ht? that would be a fucking HUGE disappointment. HUGE.

 

Being the nonturbo version of the 4b11 with a turbo it would be a weak point. Thats common on most all n/t motors.

 

Bringing the thread back.. I have been thinking about purchasing one to modify for a shop car.

Yet i will not pay the outright cost there asking for we sell quite a few parts already for the genesis. So it will help greatly when time comes to purchase, I would not get the 4cyl version imho. i would get the v6 and building and boosting that.

i liked it too, until the 370z came out and i saw it's relatively low price tag.

but i'd love to see a built/boosted v6 model.

Iam waiting for Hyundai to get back to me. I sent them a proposal for the car and will see what they work out. Ill have a build thread up for it as it will be one of the fastest builds i have done yet.

 

i really don't like that front end...looks just like a tiburon

But I'm blown away at the fact Hyundai put out a decent car... I am disappoint w/ specs on the I4 though...

I feel like it's the new 'trendy' car out now with a slight manufacture's push behind it. Reminds me of when the TC first came out which was then forgotten within 2 years.
