Default lift rental?

Is there any place that let's you rent their lifts to work on your own car? I'm tired of having to pick gravel out of my hair every time I need to get under my car.

Either way, when you live in an apartment complex working on a car that's up on jack stands sucks.

The auto hobby shop at the USCG station in yorktown is really, really nice. Every other hobby shop is really dirty or has missing tools, etc. I'll be there this sat morning fixing my brake pad cable
