Moore Automotive Dyno day Sat Nov 21st
LOL at the dyno being off.
Dynojets are about 99% consistent. I've used over a dozen dynojets and I've only ever seen one that had fishy results. Still not sure what's up with that particular one, it used to read like the others till lightning hit it and it's read low ever since.
I HIGHLY doubt it's off. More than likely, it's the users expectations that are off.

I was there last year. I was the first vehicle. One of Moore Tech straped my rear end down onto the E-brake cable and then ran my vehicle and the rear passanger side rotor were smoking like crazy and you can actual see the rotor glowing red. Then they figure out the problem and then they restrap it again and it was solved.

Actually it'll start at 9, need a little time to get set up. We'll go to whenever, our dyno days have usually lasted til 7 - 9:30 at night. We try to get as many people on as possible.
Yeah, I've found the last statement to be true. As many cars as we've had on the dyno I know for a fact it reads right where it should. It's not going to be off for some cars and dead on for others. If it reads low then I guess my car really had over 600whp, lol.
We finally found what the problem is with our dyno. It's a problem with the new software ours uses that DynoJet hasn't quite figured out a fix for yet (apparently it's happening to a coulpe dozen of them, so our's isn't the only one). Our dyno, the 424xLC2, is the latest one and uses newer software than all the older ones. Carl (the main DynoJet tech support guy) said that, for some odd reason, the program runs a random check on the eddy brakes and it'll think they're an older version of them and change the program parameters. Then the eddy's come on a random times (putting a load on the car) and messing up the run. There is no fix for it yet, but he said all we have to do in re-install the software and it'll be fine til it does it again. Good thing is, is that it only take a few minutes to do if the problem pops up. But I'm gonna do it the night before anyways to minimize the chance of it happening. I've noticed it usually takes a couple months for it to happen. We've been having this problem for over a year, and they finally figured it out after replacing half the modules and sensors on the damn thing, lol!
And, yes, we did accidentally strap that car down catching the e-brake cable on one side. The cable was pretty close, on the front side of the axle tube, he didn't see it and got the strap around it. That is the only car that's ever happened to. On a dyno day, when you're hurrying to get cars on and off the dyno it's not unlikely that something might happen. We do try our best to be a thorough and careful as possible though so nothing goes wrong though. I think that's about the worst that's happened.
