4th/5th gen Prelude tranny
Will a fifth generation 5MT(from h22a4, base model) bolt on to the fourth gen h22a1?
I searched google for this but all I found was that a fourth gen 5mt will fit a fifth gen h22a4 lols.
Also, in your experience, which transmission is more reliable? If it fits, would it be a good idea to use a fifth gen tranny on the fourth gen car rather than a 4th gen tranny?
thanks for any question answered.

Re: 4th/5th gen Prelude tranny
yeah the m2y4 (5th gen trans) has longer gears than the m2f4 (4th gen trans) but i just couldn't nail down whether they were completely interchangeable. thanks for the confirmation
i'm wondering whether to get the 4th gen or the 5th gen trans now.

i think he's talking about putting a 5th gen tranny in a 4th gen lude in which case would mean h2b is out of the question.

determine whether or not you want "better" interstate gas mileage. if so, go with the 5th gen. otherwise, stick with the 4th gen. personally, i'd get the m2f4 and slap an accord 5th gear in it.

really out of the question !! plus mfactory has 4.64 and 5.15 final drives! which makes it an h2b killer trans!
