So now you're saying they DO wear out quicker than street wheels on the track...?

Someone explain "track wheels" and "race-only" wheels to me... Whats the difference between "street" wheels?

Track wheels are meant to be very light, at the expense of long term durability. Street wheels are heavier duty and heavier weight, but will last a really long time with only minimum care.

They're actually all the same.

The only difference is you pay more for the wheel from the guy who designed it first. So everybody who is smart- and uses words like "yourself" when they really mean "you"- should just buy the cheapest possible wheel in the design they like and tell everyone else they don't know what they're talking about.

Being smart with money is so awesome.

Watch out if you are getting diamond racing steelies or some other racing steelie. They bend real easy due to them being very thin and basically "Throw away" wheels for race/stock cars.

How easily?

Any other suggestions?

Depends on what you mean by wear

Cracks of any sort (particularly stress cracks) are what they don't want to see and it's typically the primary failure of strong, lightweight wheels.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

But yes, they will surely wear out faster on the track.
