No skeet, but there is 5-stand (like sporting clays), trap, and wobble trap.
It's not paper only, but it's pretty much paper only. There's no steel (that may be changing in the future, the club is getting a change in leadership), but you can either shoot paper in the target holders or soda cans or clay pigeons (that you pick up off the shotgun range's field when it's closed) that you put against the backstop.
No full auto fire allowed on the range. That's the thing about full auto - spend a ton of money and give up some rights to get it, then good luck finding a place to use it.
ive had some gun safety training
plus been to lafayette plenty of time (my best friend's dad is a range officer there too; dave coffey)
so ill be one guy you wont have to keep your eyes on and worry too bad
I feel like I've met Dave...I'm met so many people there that it's hard to keep track, but the name Dave Coffey rings a bell).
I am back in town. So...
let's do the following.
Makes posts with the following info:
Can you take a Friday or Thursday off?
Will you bring anybody with you?
Morning, afternoon, or all day?
Do you have a decent amount of firearms experience?
Are you an Lafayette Gun Club member or even better range officer (in case there are a lot of people who want to do this, I'd want another set of club-approved eyes and ears)?
Will be bringing any guns and are you all set for ammo?
My dream would be if everybody had a shotgun and we all shot trap (much easier to manage 1 trap line than 5 shooters on a rifle range), but I realize that's highly unlikely.

yes enough experience where i can help out
not a member
will bring my own guns and ammo (may be able to bring some fun interesting toys that ARE allowed on this range)
i wish we could get into the small arms (handgun) range
but i know how its set up and it would be more difficult to manage that one and look over everyone
