Radials, pump gas, full interior, and make the drive. That should keep it fair. The point of this is to get real street cars out and run. It doesnt mean they are the fastest cars on the street because we all know that there are race cars that can drive on the street but thats not what this is about. I hope some more imports sign up,especially some RWD stuff or maybne some AWD even.

i really just done see a rwd car making 500 and a fwd car making 500 on radials from a stop a fair race at all, this even is deffently geared for a domestic to win
I was not there this past year, so i dont know who won. I think there rules are somewhat fair to a point, but the 3 things i posted above knock out all the faster v8 cars.

Again this is not about being fair or to stack the rules to someones advantage. Its geared toward cars that are dd's on both sides.

Its just for braging rights. If we bring race cars into this the imports have no chance. Not talking shit but that is a fact. I have 4 cars just in the Richmond area that go 7.30s on radials.

I have personally seen a mustang on a MT 275/60/15 et streets pull 1.3xx's. You cannot get

close to that with a FWD on ANY tire unless its a RACE CAR. That is why the import's should be

able to use slicks at least one if not two of the three passes. That would be fair and make things

alot more interesting IMO.

I would have to say the import side since there 4cyl. When John Shepperd used to run at the MIR import vs domestic it was "classed" as a import.

And would the central guys have to drive to Hampton just to drive back or is there any

significance in Hampton?

I agree with you 100% on the 60ft numbers, But remember on the domestic side there wont be anything running any were near those 60ft times. I go like mid 1.8s on a good day, The best you will see is low 1.6s out of us. All but 2 cars posted so far on there have 5 or 6 speeds on 17inch tires.

What do you think about making the auto v8s run on 17s?

I have not figured that out yet, I have no problem with it, but if everyone else does then we can take the long way to VMP to make it fair for the people coming from Hampton.
