I have one additional rule... If anyone's shit falls apart at the top end of the track, leaving debris in my lane (one of the sh!tbox hondas did this to me in wild street at Import v. Domestic) not only does the opposite team win, but the driver gets beaten with whatever fell off...

As you can tell I'm still pretty sour about that one.

As am I when this mustang leaked antifreeze all over the track and had his A/C going and caused me to get loose at the top end of VMP. But you don't catch me being an ass calling it a POS.

12.90 is the best my car has ever been down the 1/4 mile to date, and that was without me driving.

Ill be happy with a 12.80

Sounds like a fun event, Imports vs Domestics at MIR was a fucking blast (granted I didnt run) but even more fun when its your friends your up against. Me going up against Shawn isnt going to be nearly fair for him but Muncher and I already ran each other during a couple different stages of my car. Now his car will be making some nice power we have to do it again.

Friendly shit talking, obviously some of the random posts in this thread and the road kill thread some tards have a different view on it that its just a pissing match. But should be a cool event.

I've driven to tenessee for a race the last three years. 2 years i drove it back. Sh!t happens.

Unfortunately I disagree on the slicks, because they would not be on any car that you rolled up to at a stoplight. It will also be easier on the drivetrain (see above concern about breaking).

IF Marcus would have backed it up, then it woudn't be bragging... but he didnt

yea you're right. I think he called out alot of RPM, and got his ass handed to him by everyone.

Thumbs up to Mike for setting this up.

Was it you??? I think you'd be saying the same thing i did if you were strapped into my car at the top end of the track on that pass.... I won't retract my comment on that one.

Feel free to call the mustang a POS... It may very well have been (especially with a driver who left the AC on and dumped coolant all over the place). Doesn't bother me. If my stuff came apart/leaked/etc I'd pray that the worst that would have happened was to have my car called a POS on DragVA.

Yes "technically" they are streetable cars, but you just dont see people doing that. (Not everyone is you haha)

The OP made the thread in the eyes of grudges of going down the highway and doing a roll race most likely, I just dont think I would ever see a car with a jojo front/full cage/race gas etc pull up next to me a race on 264 or something.
but see the thought was not that you would see shawns car on the street, he couldnt drive his car on the street due to the rods and a few other little things. i never said he could. but your car? was the same thing as his but not on a slick, you didnt have aluminum rods, and he had more money than you.

and half the time the street runs that this whole shit was started over were from a roll..... so slicks would not be needed as bad anyways. they put us at a disadvantage by putting the runs from a stop. therefore fucking the imports chances of doing anything spectacular by being on a radial.

disagree all you want.... but yes all the other cars i had in mind are perfectly streetable and can be driven to the track.... the only diff between these cars and mine/yours is bigger turbos, and sleeved blocks..... so what stops them from being seen on the street??? nothing. they just choose not to.

shawns car really may not be a street car. (but rules say it is elsewhere) okay, how does that disqualify any of the other cars.... it doesnt. shawn already said he is grudge racing one person for fun.

I'll be running my car on 93 octane, on radials, cageless, with my kid's car seat in the back, just like I do on the street.

I'm down for this event regardless of the rules... I just want some track time...
everycar i had in mind has insurance on it.
hell shawns car has more insurance on it than most of you mustangs guys mortages

nagger i mean no disrespect...but if somebody has to trailer their car to the event then how is it a street car? it can be a "Streetable" car but not a true street car

for fear of breaking? that could be said for both sides and everybody and then everybody would have their trailer queens and this event would get no where

the rules are simple......run what you brung
if you cant make the trip up there driving it...sorry
the whole point of this is for street cars...sure ramey can run...but hes making the trip just like everybody else....WITHOUT A trailor

i do however agree let the import fwd cars run slicks...seems thats the only way well get import guys to sign up

but i dont agree with trailers on anyside...that wasnt the point of the competition
no one HAS to trailer it, thats what i was saying.
but who is going to pay for the gas in a truck and a car just to run a street race at the track at a handicap.......

i cant convince anyone to even want to run this is they are going to have to fill up a car, and truck, just to run one night, for shit talking rights and thats it. especially when the original shit talking was about ROLLs, not stops.

but all these races that started this shit were from ROLLS, and no one has ever said "if i was on slicks from that 40 roll or 60 roll i would whomped you" i think anyone and everyone wouldnt have a issue doing any kind of roll on a radial. because tire spin is minimal at higher speeds.

the trailor is NOT a must thing, its just a WHY hassle yourself when the people im thinking of OWN trailers, and have them to do one thing.... tow their cars to the track... why not use what you have...... and not have to wait 2 hours for your friends to bring a trailor to come get you....

its not a arguement and its not my trying to do anything, but when you guys get all excited because you guys beat 500-700 hp hondas, i will remind you they were on 235's. and anyone is not yall will realize yall didnt do shit.

put em on slicks then talk your shit. i think because other wise i just see alot of preying on the weak like i said before.

since no one can come to a reasonable point just do a "run what you brung" thing. Run 20-30 of each class and average all the results. Do a top 5 vs 5 for the money round. Just to be fair the only restriction should be that the car is registered and driven on the streets of Virginia.

nagger with out going through to quote your post, and anybody elses with a trailor concern
you WILL get home

it just takes away from the whole aspect of everything to have your car trailored up there...if you gotta to have your crew follow you..do so

but this isnt about bringing all out race cars...and i really see this going tat way if we allow cars to be trailored to the event

and that is NOT what it is about

and from what i can tell this is getting some SERIOUS buzz behind it haha so i have a feeling there will be more than a few people there
