seems like the hondas don't want to compete in the event but want to show up with their race cars to show they can keep up with domestic street cars anyways. MAybe the event should be changed to "domestic street cars vs import street cars". Oh wait, we all already have that event at MIR every year!
No shit... I kept a plate on my car and a fogger off of it last year to keep it out of Drag Radial and in "Wild Street"... Since when does a fogger make my car "less streetable" or "super radical"

Next you guys are going to tell me I can't leave off the trans brake!!!

Easily done using the available public E85 stations.... Here's the list:

Just for argument's sake... Ramey - how many gallons does the tank in your car hold? I may be helping your cause here... don't know yet...

I'm not trying to argue that e-85 shouldn't be allowed... I just think adding an "exotic" fuel should open it up for ALL fuels....

Look dude... I'm trying to help the import guys out on this one by saying it should be opened up to whatever fuel.....

Just as an FYI, incase this makes a difference to you, I don't run race gas in the main tank... I never have, nor do I need to... I've described the stand alone system a couple of times in this thread.
yeah I understand what you run, and I agree with you. I was just making my point about the E85. I could care less what fuel goes in anyone's motor. If they drive it on the street on 116 then I envy their wallets but won't complain.

But I will say my car runs a DOT legal tire and a DOT legal fuel, I drive it several times a week around town, to friends houses, whatever, with great street manners. Honestly the only thing that makes me drive it as rarely as I do is the fear of constant harassment from the cops (bright red loud import = 100% pull over rate when in view of a cop car). I feel it's 100% a street car. If it fits the rules that are set for the event, fine, I'll probably try to make it. If not, oh well. But I'm not going to be a crybaby like the honda guys and ask for handouts. If I'm allowed to use my bias plys then anyone should be able to run em, but keep it the same type. There is a difference between a full slick and a DOT bias ply. Full slicks can stay at home for all I care. I just can't downgrade to radials because I feel it increases my risk of breakage too much to be worth it. If it's a problem, no big deal, car stays at home and I'll sit in the stands and watch.

I made a mistake in my post you just quoted but I think you read it the way I intended anyways.. but read mine above again.. lol

I guess it's a matter of what is considered "fair". Some of us like you and me think setting a set of rules to govern all is a TRULY fair race, while others think that fair is tweaking the rules based on car and chassis type to make the racing close so that people who chose less optimal platforms can still compete regardless of poor platform choice.

I'm with ya there too... Mine is (when it's not apart) driven 3-4 days a week to work, out to eat, etc... It's more radical than many would like to drive that frequently, but I don't get harassed in it and enjoy having it on the street...

Yes you can, just drive to oceana to start with. Is not being able to change direction a new rule now too?

in this thread, a couple pages = like 30 minutes! LOL!

If you had an E85 car, you wouldn't let yourself get low enough not to make it down to Oceana to fill up.

But whatever... This thread is getting silly... I'll be out there racing Mustangs if I have to, damn-it! I think Ramey should bring his slicks regardless... I think I might pee on myself watching a Civic run an 8.XX!!!

So what is it now? E85 for imports and meth for domestics? I see no problem with 99formula running some race gas in his nos/fuel tank.
