I am game for a race. The yellow car can make that trip. Are all of these cars going to be legal for the times they run?

Since its VMP...

11.49 or faster needs Cage and Fire jacket
10.00 or faster needs chassis certification and ET License with full Fire Suit

Can we check for SFI parts needed as well?

Might as well make it fair for all! AND SAFE!

No need to make a trip to get kicked out after one pass is it? So a car with a Roll Cage isnt a street car? lol...

How strict is VMP going to be? I really don't want more than a 6 point cage in my street car, since I drive it so much on the street, I feel it is less safe with the extra bars for street driving. I don't want to have to drive everywhere with my helmet on. I guess if I'm not running the proper cage for mid 9s I might as well not even bother with the chassis certification either. Fire jacket, etc, is no problem. I just refuse to put any bars in front of me in a street driven car.

If it's a rental and not a NHRA/IHRA event, they have some ability to "fudge" tech... Not to say they will. I'll be risking it with my 6-pt...

so has anyone decided whether a srt4 is gonna be considered an import or a domestic yet? lol either way im down to run with the 13 second, possibly 12 second by then, guys... just to show some support for this event. ive been looking for something like this for a while now... its long overdue! since i cant really compete with the big boys and ill just be running for fun/showing support ill be sure to take as much video as i can and as many pictures as i can for everyone.

I will check on the 104 and post it up later, You also understand since your car is auto you have to be on 17s.

I am hoping VMP will turn a blind eye on the cage factor with it being a rental, I will talk to there management and see what is said about it. Since we are getting 100 people or more off the street for a day/night.

There will be no checking for SFI parts, i am all about being safe. but its hard enough as it is getting guys to show up at the track for something like this without throwing a bunch of bs in there faces.
