if people would just post the info in the title and body like they actually want to sell their parts in the first place there wouldnt be a problem.

Here is my recommendation.

Add another MANDITORY drop down menu to fill out before you can post

For wheels;
PCD aka(pitch circle diameter)aka(bolt pattern)
Width
Diameter
et aka(Einpresstiefe)aka(insertion depth)aka(offset)

For tires;
yes/no

if no; allow post

if yes:
Brand
Model
Size

 

I would like to see a rule that requires the seller to select the offset from a drop down menu before posting. Would this be possible?

 

Because we've shoehorned a classified site on top of forum software you're not going to get custom drop down boxes and what not, especially not ones as specific as what you suggested.

So we try to find ways around the limitations, i.e thread prefixes and tags.

I tend to nazi the wheel classifieds already. I can surely clean it up a bunch if i were a classified mod.

anyway, seeing that the software is very limiting, i suggest enforcing something along the lines of having the necessary info in the title so you can search;

Classifieds>Parts>wheels/tires

prefix>FS:

keyword>(bolt pattern you want)>search titles only
