Default Anyone use Shine Car Shine for any detailing work?

When I was an adjuster for GEICO we used to refer people there, but I've never used them personally. Went over to meet w/ the owner today and was a little turned off... guy was telling me the car had been wrecked becuase of the way my urethane rear facia curves/bends where it meets the SMC quarter panel. I kindly explained to him that All C5s do that... also he tried to tell me that all the swirls in my paint were oxidation.

I've never paid anyone to detail one of my Corvettes, but I hate doing it and want to pay someone to clay and buff it the first go around... I'll polish/wax it from here on out.

They have tons of pics of beautiful local cars they've done and lots were Corvettes, he said they do a bunch of work for the local Beachcombers Corvette Club.

So anyone use them? Did they do a good job despite the owner saying a few stupid/inaccurate things?

Thanks,

Brian

they did my coupe a while ago after I got it back from the previous owner who didnt take that great of care., and they did a ridiculous job on the exterior, I mean ridiculous. The car was almost invisible it was so shiny and swirl free. I took my wifes tsx there and they did a pretty good job, I was not as impressed this time around cause there were still a bunch of swirl marks and stuff left over that I was able to get out with my own buffer and compounds. But overall they did a really good job, and I think the owner is a cool guy, kinda quirky but very friendly. I thought about bringing my sti there but decided to do it myself and it came out better as I was able to make sure no swirls or surface scratches were left, but if I ever dont feel like doing it again than Ill be calling them back up.

Rick I think you described the owner quite accurately... I've decided to do the car myself. Going to try Meguiar's new Ultimate Compound using a PC w/ an orange pad then Menzerna Final Polish II on a white pad then Rejex it. Will clay first of course.
