I read an artical in Car and Driver last spring that said that a tiny company in ATL was making police cars with 300hp v6's that would be exclusively produced for law enforcement. They supposedly already had contracts with some municipalities.

I was thinking it may be to deflect air over the light bar and reduce drag. But maybe it's the the projection screen for a HUD display so they can aim the James Bond weapons.
