Sorry we had to pull out at the last minute we have some issues at our local position which we needed to clear up. So once everything is set in stone and resolved i had to pull the shop out of the list.

To the Sumospeed guys,

For next time, if you want to do an organized cruise in between spots, its pretty easy to get the local PD to stop traffic for us and give us an escort to where we're going. Of course you wont be able to goof off, but it would be a nice picture opportunity if you did it that way. All you have to do is call the non emergency number and ask for it ahead of time. Kinda create that "not every modified car out there is a punk kid street racer" relationship.

Ive been involved with a few Motorcycle poker runs and thats what we had them do.

Just FYI take it or leave it.

true. But im sure if we make the effort, and show we are reasonable people they will cut us a break at least for that day.

I'm pretty sure we're all a lot more comfortable AVOIDING the cops rather than INVITING them... Like sex with a badger.. Cool for a minute, until he turns on you and rips your balls off.. Uh... Or something like that...

 

Its just an idea. When i was in Miami we had cops come to the hangout spot and talk shit and we had a pretty good relationship with them. Obviously if your acting stupid in front of them they will stop it. I guess its just like this up here becasue the police have nothing better to worry about. Down there tinted windows, modified exhaust and lower suspension were not their priority.

 

Its 757, a community like us = $$$$$$ for local PD's. Shit dont fly. Not after the many many things that have happened in the car community around here.
