i hate people that call the 03-04 cobra "terminator"
you sound like the typical navy bro douche.
Thats what ford called them. As for the discussion about modding, ford has already stated, their will be minimal gains from headers. If its making 395 stock, if they made around 430 with boltons, I think that would still be good. That puts it on par with a c6 z06, power wise.

Ford has already done that with the Terminator. It's not a big surprise.
Ford has never done it with an NA motor.... just ask all the '99 Cobra owners that were dynoing less than the '99 GT a had to have Ford's "fix" recall.

I did.... they're rather maxed out NA from the factory... intake and exhaust gains are nill compared to a LSX.

C6Z makes 450-460 rwhp bone stock... air intake and a tune usually gets you over 480 and headers gets you to 500 rwhp.

Ignorance. You are comparing a much larger engine in a much more expensive platform to a moderately priced pony car. Further more, you didn't even know the late model 4.6L is 3v. No use arguing with someone that doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. BTW, the late model 4.6L is far far from maxed out from the factory and can reach 400whp N/A for around $3k. The reason more people don't do it is because you can hit 450-500whp reliably with forced induction for a couple grand more. Also, there are SC kits that are covered under the factory warranty. Stop being naive and jealous that ford finally built a Camaro killer.

Actually the 03'-04' Cobra was deemed "Terminator" because it was supposed to be the Mustang of Mustangs that killed the competition: the Camaro. Problem was, Chevy had already stopped production the previous year on the Camaro, but the Ford engineers decided to go through with it since they were already in the latter part of the development stages on the 03'-04' Cobra.
If you're interested in SVT/Terminator history, there's a great book out called Iron Fist, Lead Foot, By John Coletti that is a fantastic read for any SVT/Terminator enthusiast.

Yes, that was a problem with the early New Edge Cobras. There is speculation that Ford underrated the Terminator as somehow an apology to the 99' owners for their mistake.

I agree. I also believe that they like to breath however and have more gain from forced induction than LSX's do.

I'm glad that's your opinion and you like to let it be known. Terminator has been the 03'-04' Cobras nickname from the beginning and your one of the first people I've herd that gets upset when they hear it.
