i was going to post the link, but i see you already found it.

not sure what a meed is lol but im the wrong person to ask. my car is currently un-cruise-able...its making a god awful noise from the axle/trans area, but i just cant seem to figure out what it is. my axles looks fine, but it really sounds like they're popping. it's also making a rotating whining sound. it only makes the sound if i've been driving for more than 10-15 minutes, and it stops completely when i turn he wheel to the left. it may be the wheel bearing, but ive never heard a WB make this noise before. im starting to get aggravated...and if i have to pull my transmission again, i might cry.

of course my car starts fucking up when i finally start getting trade offers that are worth considering....

 

Corey, what do your wheels bearings look like? as in if you pull the wheel off the side thats making the noise is there an abmormal amount of rusty looking dust?

That sounds very similar to when a bearing went out on my car. Sounds almost like the brake squeelers but not exactly.

 

EXACTLY! except there's a second sound along with it...the clunking/popping sound. now it doesnt make the popping sound constantly, but it does squeal constantly. the area around the WB looks normal. i pulled both front wheels off 2 weeks ago to see if i could find the problem, but everything looked fine. i shook both wheels to see if the wheel bearing was bad, but it didn't move. unfortunately my front bearings are pressed in, which makes replacing them an even bigger pain in the ass.
