1973 Nissan 240z with L28et TURBO 10lbs of boost!
So fast it's scary and lots of new parts! YES I HAVE RECIPTS AND WARRANTIES!
1973 Nissan Datsun 240z
swapped the 2.4 for a 2.8 FI turbo from an 83 280zx
has the 4 speed manual transmission in it
it has a stage 3 clutch
ok for the parts and work that Ive done to it-
- new Bosch oxygen sensor $20
- new Mr. Gasket fuel filter $12
- new Valucraft battery $70
- new clutch slave cylinder $14
- new brake clutch hose $18
- new Outer left and right tie rods $32 not installed yet
- new parking light bulbs all around $8
- new Chrome billet oil breather filter $10
- new Water pump $25
- new thermostat and gasket $11
- FIBERGLASS HOOD & hinges
- FIBGERGLASS L&R FENDERS
- HATCH and shock
- window cranks
- windshield wiper arms
- Grant GT steering wheel
- Also I got new 8.8 mm Accel red wires $55 installed
- MSD HVC ignition box and HVC coil $350
- New Turbo XS H-RFL Blow off valve $85 installed
- OEM door sills $30
- Carbon fiber boost gauge
- 14" OEM Slotted rims with ET Drag Slicks on the rear
- also I have 2 Haynes manuals for it, the 73 240z and the 83 280zx turbo
so you can look anything up on both cars
If I'm missing something I will revise the listing and add it.
Ok the body had the usual rust i.e. floor pans and spare tire well
Most was fixed and painted. The previous owner painted it and didn't do a great job sanding before he sprayed it. I bought it with the intentions to build a money making weekend racer.
The floor pans and tire well were rotted, the pass floor is sturdy and welded in good, the driver side needs some work but is perfectly fine right now. Also the driver seat brackets need to be welded to the floor. NOT BAD AT ALL.
The car has a fuel cell that was made and put in the trunk, wired to a switch in the front.
It has a Pioneer flip down cd player with remote, PowerBass 400.1 MONO amp with bass knob, bridged to 2 Phoenix Gold DVC subs in a sealed box, Also I made 2 boxes to house a set of Infinity reference 4 1/2's and Kenwood excelon 4 1/2's.
The car doesn't need much work at all. I started prepping the fiberglass hood and the hatch, right now they're sanded and primed. Yes it does run and drive! NO YOU CANT COME TEST DRIVE IT! ONLY SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!
The car is not perfect but is a great deal for anyone that has the extra time to put in her! The glass is all good and there as well as the chrome trim. Turn signals don't work. Interior is pretty good shape and I have everything but the carpet and maybe a few plastic pieces. Overall a good project with a lot of performance and fiberglass parts. It has a fuel pump from a 98 Mustang right now but needs to be replaced with a 280z pump, because it is running richer than it should. I should also add that because of this you can't drive it long because the pump fouls out the plugs and will just run horrible. So if you win I highly recommend towing or bring a stock pump. You can get one from Autozone. The car is scary fast as it is, so put the MSD ignition in and try to keep it straight LOL! Note the car doesn't have power steering, for the obvious power reasons.
