Probably cause ballers own them and they rarely go down?
nooooooooooo... so not true... we have a couple bikes here that are pretty fucked up.. makes my wreck look like baby steps
alot more hard working ppl are buying them.. for the price of a new 600 you can get a 848, 696, 720(i think thats the new lower CC hypermotard) exex.... shit how much is a zx14 going for?..$13000-14000+? just about a price of a 1098/1198
WOW! Ducati's are light on insurance. Geico just quoted me 80 bucks a month for an 05 999...damn.
yes ducati have cheaper rates... and the 05 999 is a sweet ass bike. i got the joy to test ride a 05 999r before we sold it... i reallly would love to have a 999r
edit: the basic model 999s are nice as well. iv rode 2 or 3..

Base 999 are slow if you have a modern japanese 600 or 1000. The 999R is much better, but good luck affording one if u can find one. Personally, I'd never buy a 999 or 749. 1098/1198/848 yeah, maybe a nasty 748 but not a 999/748. The baby hypermotard is about $11k out the door, a 848 is about $14k otd. So they cost more than a new 600.

GEICO has discounted rates on them, or did when I worked there. I think the 1098/r/s' are a little steeper though, but my memory isn't super bright on that.

Could you pm me what else they discounted on sports bike wise? I'm 18 and paying for insurance is gonna kick my ass as soon as I get a bigger bike.
