Haha i was talking with david rhodes about this. He said "come on man bring it, im already pissing off some of the other PTE guys." Looks like it would be a fun class.

Fail, didnt even know registration was open for it. Guess that means only 3 official events for NASA-MA autocross this year? Shame.

It's been on the websites since January, and in the bulk emails every few months, and on various forums. Not sure what else we can do :shrug:

So if a hyperdrive gives you 20-30 minutes of driving time, what does a HPDE give you? Quick google search didnt turn up anything to helpful.

HPDE1 is effectively the standard weekend entry that is equivalent to six hyperdrives, i.e. six ~20min track sessions and four to six classroom sessions.

Or looking at it another way, a Hyperdrive is equivalent to the first 1/6th of a HPDE1 entry (since it is one classroom session followed by one ~20min track session.)

There is no cheaper or easier way to get on a roadcourse at speed with an instructor riding shotgun...
