lol wow that's interesting, isn't that usually done on like a banked track? Never seen it done flatland style. I wanted to come in here and rag on you but this is actually pretty cool, what city will the team actually be based in?

 

Banked track is where it started. Obviously though it's hard to find a place to build a track and then maintain it and all that. The flat tracks are actually the exact same dimensions as the banked tracks.

Well, the good thing is you don't need a ton of free time. We haven't set up actual practice times yet, but I'm assuming we'll do like the girls do and practice twice a week for 2 hours at a time.

For those of you who have never seen it, the girls have a bout July 11 @ 3pm. You should come out and check it out.

 

If this was in VB you would have just picked up a Roller Derby all-star haha.

 

Our girls team played the VB team not too long ago. I was down there for that bout.

I've heard rumors that there is a mens team forming in the VB area as well, but haven't been able to find out more about it...
