The new REV-X thread.

that long burnout strip was from the first night when someone did a burnout in a pickup without realizing they werent allowed to.

i think no one explained the "racing" parts of the video correctly.. what they did there was filmed before the meet actually started that night. so there was no crowd of people or cars, just the small group of people to make the video to promo for there at the time planned "auto-x" like event.

Thanks fc3spitsfire.
That is correct. We planned an Auto-X event and we were taking footage for that. This footage was taken about 90 minutes before REV-X started, but I still had my team(s) there to keep things safe. The Auto-X footage was intended for the track day promotional video only. During the course of the first 8 weeks, I had taken other footage of the every day things that occur at REV-X. However the tape heads were bad and only about 10% of the footage was usable and 100% of the footage had no sound.
To make a promotional video, I either had to combine the race day footage and the 10% of the footage from people just chilling into one vidoe or have a 30 second promo video.
When we took the high speed footage, we had verbal waivers, if you wreck it's on you. If you are afraid of wrecking don't particpate. The rear portion of the lot was blocked off with cones and only two cars were allowed to run (one was the action car, one was the camera chase car). If you look at the lot, you can see that it is VERY eash to divide the lot into two parts.

The Race Day has been put on hold and probably will not happen (if it DOES happen) until next year. As for other concerns, Yes, I have a team and we go around and pick up A LOT of trash, I knew this was going to be an issue. After the team leaves, I go around again and pick up any remaining trash. I have been there until 3:00AM picking up trash on a few occasions.
And to the guy calling me "Jesus guy," I've had an AK47 pointed at me before with a guy screaming in Pashto, a few 1's and 0's is not going to really offend me.
In the end it really is simple. REV-X IS going to continue on September 11th, if you want to check it out then come out. If not then don't. You can complain about how integration of faith and the world is not practical or how people won't come or how we run things or etc. until you are blue in the face. But I am going to keep running REV-X until it gets cold and the pick it up again next May.
If you have any concerns I will address them.
