I passed the MSF course today. It's true what so many people told me about it being easier to pass the riding test there than at DMV. In my case it was, anyway.

edit: for some reason, DMV is up there^^ twice. But I didn't type it twice.

 

PM replied. CDI's don't tend to go bad often, but it's always a possibilty. Weird that came up, I've had more bikes in front of me with bad CDI's in the last 2 months than I have in the last 5 years. Maybe it's contagious?


wow, a Serow (sp)! Haven't seen one of those in a while. Yeah, as long as the tires/brakes/etc are all good, you shouldn't have any problems.

Yeah it's prob some kind of CDI Flu! Don't let the news get a hold of it or the panic will spread...

And yep I take delivery of the Serow tomorrow night. Not gonna win any drag races but it's a fun little bike for around town.

 

yeah, they are fun bikes. Wouldn't want to get on 64 with one, but around town, a blast. My pops was trying to get the city of VB to replace all the 250 nighthawks the po-po uses at the oceanfront with xt225's at one point years ago (he was a cop, and in charge of all that stuff). If they were smart they would have listened to him. I used to work at the shop that did all the maintenance on the nighthawks, and MAN they get beat to hell. A small dual sport would have held up MUCH better.

I can rewind the stator to run lights for about 10 bucks. Did it on my old 50.

 

Would they give me tags for it? I'd still need a horn, brake light switch, etc. It'd just be sweet.

Seeing as its under 50cc's couldn't I ride it like the dudes that ride scooters.

 

Whats best online to order pit bikes and shit? Anywhere cheaper? I will hunt down on craiglist or on here. Lookin to buy a 50cc for fun to ride.

buy a used HONDA 50. All those chinese pit bikes are GARBAGE, and you'll just be wasting your money. They break ALOT.
