I've always liked Mike's E28. I wouldn't want to own it, at least not after about the 2nd iteration, but it is the confluence of trends and styles from several subgenres of tuning, especially in it's current chopped form.

At first I was really impressed by Singer's work, but then I learned two things. A friend of mine who's a borderline Porsche guru visited the shop and reported that the car was a hack job. Then came the staggering price of $325,000. The only visible parts on the car that are difficult to manufacture are the projector headlamps.
Singer made a big deal about a carbon fiber insert bonded to the tub that increased rigidity, however there have never been any images made available and I doubt that he invested the money in computing time required to adequately model it. The first car (the orange one) was built with a loan from his father-in-law and he was barely able to finish it, let alone invest in modeling.
I view Singer much like Orange County Choppers insofar as they both order a lot of off-the-shelf custom parts and assemble them into a finished product they then brand.
