Default 86 XL250R Clutch

Finally got the tool to remove nut on clutch......that seems to be the easy part. Any help on how to get the clutch off? Clockwise or counter clock wise threads and how do you get the housing to hold while you remove nut?

By holding it with one of these:



Just a simple metal bar with holes cut for bolts to go through (secures the housing) with a large notch cut out so you can remove the nut. Threads are normal. The nut may strip itself when you remove it. Be sure to order a replacement if yours fucks up. Mine looked like this:

you are suppose to bend the tab out of the groove first or that can happen.
