Default 1997 ek help

i have a non vtec d16y7 motor for some reason im getting only 15MPG driving easy. there is no leak or hole in gas tank. wonder what could be messing my MPG up. has brand new spark plugs and spark plug wires what else could be the issue ?

Did you replace the plugs and wires before or after you started having this problem? Also, are you getting any CELs?

How many miles do you have on the motor? Have you checked or replaced your o2 sensors lately?

160k on motor and no haven't replaced them. and i replaced them after it started doing it.

I would pull the O2's and check them. Could be your problem right there. I just got around to replacing mine in my GSR with 133k on it and my mileage damn near doubled per tank.

damn OEM o2 sensors are expensive.

They are, but they are a guaranteed direct fit. If you go to pep boys, etc, you will have a universal one that wont fit as well or work as well.

o2 censor or if aftermarket cheap exhaust then you have a clogged cat

check your fuel rail bushings
if it smells like gas find the source
