I might be wrong, but isn't this just a manufacturer showcase of current and future production cars for the most part. So instead of driving down Broad St. or Midlothian Turnpike in 6 months to stop off at the dealerships, car companies and motor trend can charge you $9 to see them all in one place... Oh and Jeep can have a 1/32 mile indoor ride along trail to really excite the crowd.

I hope it's better than that

I rather spend $9 to see new cars and some prototypes in one place than to spend a lot more than that in gas and waste my time visiting every dealer and having to deal with salesman. Besides the vendors that are there, there usually are some nice classic cars there and some exotics too. It is not the greatest car show but it is something to do.

Yeah, I remember going to a show similar to this in D.C. 4 or 5 years ago. I was really unimpressed. Of course in D.C. it was $15 to get in and $20 to park. The only real prototypes at that time were some small companies making hydrogen or electric cars.
