they are called engine spacers. They are in most bikes. Usually on one side. taking them out is usually the easiest part... it is when your putting them back in and have to get three stupid holes lined up to get it together. (IE. the hold in the frame, hole in the spacer and hole in the engine.)
lol tfg my motor doesn't bolt there. it's just a separate section of tubing that bolts there.
the motor mounts are elsewhere.

just so you know... I wouldn't strap your bike down by the handle bars again. You can break or bend the bars... you strap it on the triple tree or get bar ends straps.

thanks for the heads up. the owner of the dealership did the strapping... so i just let him do his thing. the forks weren't fully compressed and the bars seem fine now, so no harm-no foul.

well... your bars are arched more than a super sport bike... but I just know that sport bikes bars will snap under alot of pressure
