Why, on EARTH, would this event be moved to Buena Vista from the Roanoke Civic Center?! I'm sure the civic center charges a fortune to use their lot, but this was a fairly big event (for this area) the one year that I went and I'm sure the proceeds more than paid for it. I can't imagine this will be as attractive now. Then again, I could be totally wrong - I've never seen this exact venue in Buena Vista.

The parking lots are pretty reasonable to rent.As you said,judging by the turnout of this show in the past,it should have been profitable.The RCC is about the best location in this are for this type of event.
Best of luck to the organizers,but I'm worried the location could discourage a lot of people from going.

 

wont be going just because of the location. Its always been a great turn out at the civic center. yall fuckin up by moving it.

 

If I remember correct the last year it was at the civic center somebody put sugar in the fuel tanks of the tractor trailers that were there for the show. And then the civic center rates went up. BV is just a little town and the venue is not as big but there are plenty of shade trees, andits by the river so its a lil cooler.
