+1 on Tida Thai for Thai food Military Hwy in Chesapeake and Va Beach location
Sushi
+Kanpai in Virginia Beach on Independence Blvd across from Pembroke mall, same shopping strip as Jade Villa. Excellent sushi and good atmosphere. Try their "Hot Momma" roll....off d chain!
+Nana Sushi in Chesapeake on Battlefield, shopping strip behind Hooters. Good sushi and atmosphere. Very good Udon, and Kimchi seafood soup.

Yummy Korean BBQ
Fordham Drive in Virginia Beach off of Indian River
+More specifically for having "Meat Jhun" which is a western style dish mainly found in Hawaii but this place has it as well. One of the only Korean places in this area that makes it as the owner lived in Hawaii for some time.

+The owner is Thai and actually owns Bangkok Garden as well so you'll see a mixed menu of Hawaiian style plate lunches and Thai dishes. I go here to get my Spam Moco fix. It's funny to see the white patrons look in disbelief and disgust when I go there with all my filipino coworkers and order Spam. lol.

el rincon tropical
ridiculously good shredded pork and the best red beans and rice ive had in my entire life. a little pricey but super good. fried plantains were killer.

rigoletto bakery and espresso bar. strawbridge
just went there this morning. the espresso was excellent, better than starbucks straight shots and the pastries were fantastic, the eclairs are freaking gigantic and the tiramisu roll is so good. the custard pies they have (forgot the name) is so rich i couldnt finish one and its only the size of a table cup coaster. omg so good.
I mean look at this thing
