Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
Any of you doods put an aftermarket carb on and have your stock one laying around yet? This guy needs one....

Stock carb stock jetting, completely cleaned out and had it on and off 100 times and it will only run with the air tube to the airbox disconnected, just open carb. With it like this it will go 42-43ish little sluggish from 25-35. With the air intake tube connected, and no air box or anything, just the tube, it wont rev up like its running rich as doodoo. goes maybe 25. Ive checked everything, 10 times. I dont get it. Fuel pump is new. Plug is good. its only got 3k miles on it. So I figure it needs a different carb. I want to put a crf50 carb on it and get rid of the stupid over engineered stock pos thats on it. Don't really want an aftermarket ruckus carb, most are crappy chinese imitations of a mikuni. So if any one upgraded and has a stock one laying around, I could use it.

Thanks! I looked for a while to find a gunmetal grey one. Had it for about a year now. Simple mods... mirror delete, shaved front rack, hacked the rear license plate holder off, bobbed the rear fender, added a cup holder (that's perfect for a tropical smoothie cup). I have no desire to lower or stretch mine because half of the fun I have on it is blasting through school fields, peoples yards, neighborhood park cut throughs, down the beach, etc etc. I have a supermoto so i dont need another road only toy, and lowering and stretching these makes them essentially a slow motorcycle, not for me. Probably going to do a big bore and a gearing change to get 45-48 out of it without a cdi, i want to make more power and pull taller gears rather then rev the little guy to the moon. Just need a stock carb for now until I order some parts for it.
Function>form
dragging kickstand through corners and vaulting curbs is so much funner than looking cool
ive just about tapped the fuckus out recently, speedo is almost touching the over heat led

I like how when i was stock, no one ever looked or asked what i was riding... But when i rode my ruckus home tonight with the recent mods i did. I had 1 guy start asking me all these questions and another dude just pull up and stare for about 30 seconds.
so today i was riding down Witchduck going towards the Blvd, and with all the road work there, there was a manhole that stuck out above the road about 3-4 inches. They finally put asphalt around it, and now it is like a little ramp. Hit that shit going like 30-35 and got a solid 8 inches of air, it was epic.
