That's an LJ. Technically, I guess you could say it's a TJ, but it's a longer wheelbase, which makes it an LJ.
I feel so ashamed now.

You don't have to see the rear axle.. I'm saying it just looks longer. You'll see that a TJ is kind of stubby looking when sitting next to an LJ, which almost looks like it could be a truck. If you rarely see either, they're not hard to mix up, but side by side you'll see it's very much different. The LJ looks quite a bit longer.

i think i see what you mean. the back is longer then normal? im looking at the window length.
this one looks a lit smaller, but it could be the stretchy top throwing me off..

And this is where the quote "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" comes in. Correct?

That looks like a YJ to me from that distance.

It takes some time to spot the things to look for that make each model Wrangler different, aside from the obvious--the headlights. Headlights can be misleading in some cases because they do make conversions and people have been known to do some tricky things to get rid of the out of place square headlights on the YJ's.

Watch your tongue good sir. I will thrill your vanill' for such talk.

Speaking of jeep trucks... I actually considered cutting the roof off of the XJ, from the back of the rear doors-back. I've seen it done, so does this mean theres a snap kit/bikini made for this "conversion"?

I'm not hating on the square headlights or YJ's in general... I just never have understood why they took the headlights in a different direction after all those years. It's almost like an unspoken slogan for a Jeep to have round lights.
