95 gsr motor in 1994 del sol-S, idle problems?
First off, I know this car is a piece of shit, so "blast it with piss" or "set it ablaze" comments are not necessary.
I have a B18c1 out of a 1995 Acura Integra GSR. Complete head, block, wire harness, ecu, etc. Everything was pulled from the wrecked gsr and dropped into this del sol. New head gasket, timing belt, rings, bearings, water pump, intake manifold gasket etc were installed. I put the motor/trans in, and plugged everything in, including the ecu.
Here's the problem(s):
It has a really funny idle, like really high (3k) on start up, and won't go down at all. I then pull the TPS and MaF sensors, and it drops idle. After plugging them back in, it will idle fine for a while (maybe 10 minutes or so), then run really rich, and have an idle fluctuation between 1.5k and 2.5k. I switched throttle bodies with a friend and it still does this. Both TB's work fine on his 97 GSR. I also switched IAC valves with him, and no improvement. This motor swap was supposed to be a direct bolt in and go, but it's been sitting for about a month and a half now with no improvements and I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Break out the volt meter.
Make yourself a list and check each sensors' voltage starting with the TPS and MAF(and the MAF is probably a MAP, but who's looking). Somewhere between 0-5v.
Any extremes- look into it.

sprayed brake cleaner all around to check for vac leak. not throwing any CEL's. just acting really silly.

What are you doing for a harness? Did you add the wires for the knock sensor and the secondary butterflies (IAB) for the GSR manifold?

Yes sir. It is a complete, un-cut engine harness out of a different 95 GSR. Everything is plugged in like it should be, just as it would be if it were in the GSR chassis.
