Not a good place to put it. I know you didn't spend much money on it, but if you get so much as tapped on the rear end or back into anything, it's probably toast.
I got my Hi-Lift for $65 from Summit--shipped. Never used it. lol

Got a 48" hi-lift for my b-day a few years back.. only times I've used it so far is for changing tires or switching between my mud terrains and all terrains.. put pop that bitch under the sliders and bam, rotate/change 2 tires at once lol
but if i get tapped or back into something i'd rather a $35 jack get ruined as opposed to a $200 tire. or a $200 bumper etc....
i use it all the time working on my suspension, changing / rotating tires, also you can do some pretty ingenious stuff with those things when you get stuck off road
i decided to go pick up a farm jack today.... harbor freight and tools had them on sale plus i had a 20% coupon off so i ended up the with the jack for like $35 and then i was wondering where to mount it....
so i went to Lowes and picked up some 2 5 inch 1/2 inch diameter bolts, 2 nuts, and 2 wing nuts..... drilled the holes.... and mounted the 2 bolts with the nuts and then mounted the jack on w/ the wingnuts.... it looks good. i didnt lose any ground clearance or anything and it's out of the way.... so for $40ish i got the jack and mounted it.
(beats the hell out of $60 for a mount and $65 for a "hi-lift" jack)

. Using All-terrains and mounting hi-lifts on a bumper, really??? You just lost even more departure angle, plus I see you getting hung up on your bumper and then not being able to take your hi lift off. Plus if you got the farmer hi lift and not the actual $80-$90 hi lift brand you might as well throw it in the garbage. The "farmer" hi lift which is the cheaper one I've seen bend handles and break while lifting a Jeep.If you want to display your ultra cool hi lift, mount it to the hood. Takes a few brackets and some bolts. Or mount it inside to the roll bars.

The reason I picked the Hi-Lift brand is because they're waranteed, rebuildable, and even kits with different components that you can add to your jack to make those jobs safer. You definitely should not be jacking your vehicle up by a rock slider with a Hi-Lift jack and changing two wheels and tires at a time... but as long as you realize it's super dangerous, I'm not going to preach to you. I just hope you're using jack stands too.
I've even seen and heard of people using the jack handle on the Hi-Lift's as tie rods when in a pinch trying to limp home.
Again, $65 shipped from Summit... Hi-Lift.. of the 48" flavor. Any bigger would be unnecessary for a Jeep IMO.

Please redo this ASAP. You beach guys have no idea how to mod Jeeps

second, i dont rock crawl with this thing. at all. and have no intention to do so..... so "departure angle" doesnt really bother me.... besides... if i was at that angle where the jack is scraping.... my front tires would be off the ground completely.
and thats funny you say about that jack....if im doing something with that jack that is strong enough to BEND metal that thick then im clearly misusing the jack. and this is my 3rd "torin" jack and i've never had one fail, bend, break, or malfunction on me at all.
