Default Looking for some private land to use to train my dog.

I have used every resource I have and I don't know anyone with 10+acres that I could use to train my dog. I don't really care to wait until the season opens up to move further along in his training. I am training the dog for bird hunting/waterfowl.

My dog is a 6 month old Chocolate Lab and very obedient and needs to be introduced to gunfire to prepare for future hunting days as well as the Jr hunters test.

I will be using a starter pistol using blank .22 acorns, 12 gauge shotgun using Fiocchi 12 Gauge Blanks , pigeons, quail, and possibly ducks if the property has a pond. No live rounds will be fired on the property. If the land has fields, I plan on using 100+ quail and 30-40 pheasants to plant in the field for future hunts for yourself/whoever.

I only need a 1hr session 2-3 times a week.

I am willing to pay, or barter with maybe a few guided hunts on pheasant, quail, duck, or goose hunting. Or possibly something else.

I don't want to travel very far, no more than an hour from 23236.

Just let me know if you have something that I could use or know of anyone that does and they would be willing to lease it out.

Finders Fee available.

A friend of mine just moved to Amelia (Chula and 360 area) I believe he has right around 10 acres... I can ask if he'd be willing to have you out.

Neither do I, or atleast one with some land.

I would also be willing to take a man or two on a guided fishing trip. Catfish or bass. Bring nothing but yourself and your license.

Contact Elam Animal Hospital, ask for Dr.Nick Elam - and have a minute to talk

804-794-4105

He's been training labs for 30+ years and should be willing to help you get access to property or tag along with the many
people he knows that also train, also has contacts to local training bird suppliers. He's mostly been into field trials, and
even placed in national competitions multiple times. There are also clubs here in VA that you should look into.
