Paint Overspray Removal
About a year ago I had some issues with the moldings on my truck where the paint was changing from white to a faint yellow. I took my truck back to the dealership and they said the only thing they could do would be to repaint them for me. Being that this was warranty work, I didn't really care one way or another, I just wanted it fixed.
So after they resprayed the moldings I went on about my business and surely enough, they started to fade once again. At this point I got fed up with having to deal with it and just debadged my whole truck. Now that I have the moldings off, you can see where they did a piss poor job of taping off the moldings and now there is a slight outline of paint where they once were.
Can someone give me some tips on the best way to remove this?
And yes, I know I need to wash my truck. I just got back from 2 weeks of vacation and the rain made it look like crap.

Re: Paint Overspray Removal
You need to wetsand with some 2000 till its gone then buff it out...be careful...if you rub thru the factory paint you will need to get it painted....or you could try some lacquer thinner carefully and try to rub the newer paint off...but this will also soften the original paint....too much and you will still need them painted

Yeah I thought about wet sanding but since I am far from a paint guy I didn't want to risk it.
I guess the best method would be a long sanding block to wet sand?

Wet sanding 2000grit, lot of water from a hose and a flat sanding block in the best and only way to do it. Take your time, buff with care.
