Question Looking for help to repair 95 Taurus

Does anyone have any experience replacing a head gasket on a 95 Ford Taurus or works at a Ford dealer with access to the service manual for this car?

Are you sure it's the head gasket? The valves go bad in a lot of taurus'.

I'm sure or at least that's one of the factors. The oil is milky so coolant leaked into the oil from somewhere.

For that car it would be easier/cheaper to;

Find a low mileage engine and replace;
Find another taurus and buy it.

Honestly, you can get those whole damn cars for <$1k.

rough idle? may be more trouble than it's worth.

does it overheat? could be a simple fix with thermostat.

Well it's not running, it will crank but not start. Considering the car was aquired for $450 I was hoping a small investment will get it back up and running for awhile. If it's going to run that much though then I maybe better off with a new engine. Thank's for the information.

Damn, been a long time since I've seen you around dude. Yeah, a replacement engine would be best. If it was overheated that bad and has coolant in the oil, how long are the rod bearings going to hold up? Is the deck warped? ect ect.
