Yur gonna have to put yur car on a lift so u get to the bottom of the shifter. Take yur shift knob off and the cover and shift boot. Then un bolt the 2 bolts that hold the actual shift bar down. Next go underneath yur car and unbolt the pin that holds the shifter on the bottom...... Everything should slide out. Then replace it with yur new short shifter, put all neccessary bolts back in and enjoy....lol takes about an hour or so to do...depending on yur tools.

it's not that difficult, you disconnect it from the linkage underneath, bolt the new one up. it should have come with replacement nuts or washers. i did mine 2 weeks ago, and had to add some extra washers as spacers.

well i think whats more important is what car are you doing it on. on my car i didnt have to jack it up. i just removed the center console to expose the shifter and i removed the two bolts holding it. Then i popped out the stocker and replaced it with the kartboy and put the console back in. Took me 15 min to do it.

On my vette and mustang it's simple. No getting under the car at all. Remove the trim, take out four bolts, then put the new one in and put it all back together.

depends on the car. if its a civic, then itll take 15-20 minutes to do. and you have to get under the car...but if youre small, you can just jack one side up and holler at it that way.
